Program Description: From an early age, many of us are taught that our worth is tied to our work and the legacies we leave behind. Grounded in the transformative teachings of Sonya Renee Taylor (The Body Is Not an Apology), Tricia Hersey (The Nap Ministry), Cole Arthur Riley (Black Liturgies) and Disability Justice educators, this session invites participants to explore rest as a radical act of resistance. Together, we’ll unpack the origins of grind culture, the ableism entrenched in capitalism, and the politics of self-care as a pathway to collective liberation through community care.
