Program Description:
This session provides insights about the experiences of student workers through a department’s student employment practices. In addition to describing key skills that students gain through their employment, this session explains how a department incorporates UMD’s new co-curricular learning domains into student employee training and day-to-day work to optimize student learning. Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage in small group discussions to share resources and ideas with their colleagues about how they can best support the growth of their student employees.
